Bonus post! Not really, but I wouldn’t leave you for the year with my last post! Not that it was horrible, just a series of unfortunate events. Nonetheless, this is my last post of the year, and also, Happy Christmas! This is our trip to Westonbirt Arboretum, a beautiful Arboretum that we visited earlier in the year (but I haven’t posted on just yet, but I do have this fun pic from that visit!). This is a yearly event, called Enchanted Christmas, where the arboretum is lit up and decked out in festival lights and decor.

When I first saw this event, I thought the trees would be wrapped with fairy lights, but then realised that would take forever to do. Instead, all the trees are “decorated” or highlighted with uplighting. The effect is beautiful and really interesting, highlighting the shapes and shadows of the trees and leaves.

The arboretum is normally open during the day and has numerous walking paths but this one was a special trail, showing off the decorated trees. It was a very family friendly event, with huge groups of people everywhere, young and old, stroller gangs and walkers alike.

Omri and I walked through at a casual pace, sipping on our mulled wine and pulling over to admire the trees every so often. The weather was quite mild (as it has been all December!) so we enjoyed the crisp wintery air in the fresh outdoors.

Along the trail there was some fun special areas, with bubbles and smoke blowing, and also a really cool part was a hanging disco ball with some fun mood music! That was too hard to photograph due to the lack of light, but it was a neat concept.

There were also a lot of lighting effects like the one above!

Obligatory self-picture!

It was a really nice evening, fun to get out and see the wintry and seasonal decor and also a nice way to get into the Christmas spirit!
